The Valley Under the Skin Exhibition

Windhover - 1st piece inspired by the project
The results of my project will be on show at the Lansdown Gallery, Lansdown, Stroud, between 17 June and 6 July 2014.  The exhibition will include glass sculptures, vessels and wall pieces inspired by my walks along with a selection of photos, sketchbooks, maps and other materials, and a soundtrack assembled from the many sound recordings I made.  I hope that visitors will enjoy sharing in my experiences of the valley.

The opening hours of the exhibition will be 10 am - 5 pm Monday to Saturday and 11 am - 4 pm Sunday.

See the gallery website for more information and directions.

I am intending to run short workshops from the gallery during the exhibition so that people can get hands-on with glass themselves and try out some of the techniques I've used.  For more information on the workshops, please go to my website.

The exhibition will be part of the Slad Valley Festival, a week-long series of events in and around Slad Valley to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Laurie Lee's birth (he of Cider with Rosie fame).  For more information about the Festival, see the Slad Society website.
